Red Eye from Total Devastation

We took a visit to Sin City, Las Vegas Nevada to visit one of it’s latest residents of musical artists, Hemp Hop Activist “Red Eye” from Total Devastation.

With the release of their cannabis inspired song titled “Many Clouds of Smoke” back in the late 80′s, Total Devastation has played a big role in cannabis activism and awareness.

We sat down with Red Eye to get his current perspective on today’s cannabis movement currently sweeping the nation.

When & How did Total Devastation come together?

Total Devastation comprises of me – Rey Eye, Big Smoke and DJ Tuf Cut Tim. We actually formed together back in 1987 thru family acquaintances where we grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Since the formation of Total Devastation, how would you compare the cannabis movement from back then to present?

The cannabis movement has totally changed since the late 80′s. Back then, people were hesitant to show support for any cannabis rallies. Today, the movement is larger than it has ever been.
